Look my hat fits!?!?!

His hat is beginning to fit!

The Year of the Mouse...

Jonathan and I were unable to go to Youth Councils with Doug this weekend. (I will be posting pictures for Doug and everyone to see) So we decided not too be sad about it and have some fun. So we went to Disneyland today and as we were going in we saw a few people in line to take a picture with Minnie. We couldn't pass up the opportunity, since today was the last day they were going to be in their special costumes/outfits. Besides, Jonathan had his ears already for a picture.

Size... 6-9 months

Yes it is a little baggy, but not a lot. Jonathan will be 5 months next Sunday but this outfit fits for the most part.

Jonathan is getting better at just hanging out while on his tummy, something he didn't like for at first. He has even started to push with his legs, now he just needs to get his arms moving and pushing and away we go!

Strategicly placed duckie

Jonathan no longer needs the safety net that was a part of the tub, or rather he no longer fits in it! Grandma and Mommy do such a great job giving him baths that I just sit and watch. The one time I took over he cried like he was getting a shot or something!

Picture in Picture

I've started the video collection now as well, although I must say I still take more photographs than video. But I am trying to capture some "first's" and fun things.

We are all feeling a little bit better but still a little groggy. (not sure on that spelling at all) Jonathan is a little stuffed up, but is doing much better.

Jonathan has learned how to do a "rasberry", actually he does so many in a row it is more like he is "beat boxing" which is pretty cool.

Hiding from daddy

Please keep us in your prayers, all 3 of us are suffering from head colds. Jonathan hides from me, or mommy, whenever we have the "boogie sucker".

I put on his "Lucky Charms" outfit today, maybe we will get lucky and everyone will feel better. (Also I didn't buy the correct size, he obviously will not be able to wear this outfit come St. Patrick's day, the hat already doesn't fit of course.)

mmmmm...Rice cereal

Jonathan had some rice cereal with banana this weekend. He enjoyed it very much. He is a bit early still for solids but the doctor said if he seems ready go ahead, since he is a big guy! He likes watching daddy and mommy eat, following the fork with his eyes, on this morning he ate breakfast and still seemed hungry so rice cereal it was.

Hogging the remote

This is a new seat just for Jonathan, it helps him learn to sit by himself. It is really cool, soft foam but sturdy. He likes it, for awhile at least, 10 minutes or so is enough for him.

We actually try to limit how much Jonathan watches the tv, we often have to turn it off while he is feeding because he gets distracted by the lights and wants to watch. Our pediatrician, who is really good, told us that he can watch with us a little as long as we talk to him about what is going on. I wouldn't want Homer, Bob Saget, or even Bill Cosby raising Jonathan, so that is cool with me.

New Feature

I added a new feature to the blog. On the left you can now see a mini-slide show of all the photos posted on flickr. When you put the cursor over it you can select, forward, backwards or pause. Also if you just click on the photo part you get taken to the flickr site to see the bigger versions of the photos.

Cute x 120 = Jonathan!

Shake it like a polaroid picture

Jonathan is getting very good at his motor skills. He likes to grap onto, shake a pull, whatever he can. This includes, rattles, toys, blankets, Ediths hair and glasses, and my hair....chest...owww.

This picture isn't the best of Jonathan but you see him in action with his, surprise surprise, cookie monster rattle. (Jonathan looks like he just finished a gallon of milk, notice the drool)

What is the best innovation in the last 10 years? Perhaps something to do with the internet, electronics, hybrid cars. NO. The answer, as I discovered this morning is Shake and Pour Pancakes!!!! Just add water, shake, poor, and tada. Perfect pancake mix for perfect pancakes. Even got the sugar free Mrs. Butterworth...have you seen how many calories are in regular syrup? With sugar free I can have lots more syrup!! :)

We put a pillow below his feet so that his feet were not just hanging. Plus he still needs to work on his ability to sit up all by himself, he's getting better at that one. That noggin of his is just hard to balance! A co-worker, June Loo got us this, and he really likes it. He was able to shift his weight and spin his chair to the different activities.

cuter in black and white?

All is well here. Edith's Grandpa left today, went back to Mexico after spending time with the family here in Santa Ana. It was cool for Jonathan and him to share some time together.

We pulled out the GOOD camera and had some fun in black and white. My boy is so cute, He keeps on growing, can't believe he fits this Elmo outfit that Tricia got for us.

S. Street Gang

It isn't all about cookie monster, here is the rest of the gang.

That crazy Winnie the Pooh

We make a point of reading to Jonathan each day. We have lots of Disney books but have been reading Sesame Street stories recently just to mix it up.

Check out my tattoos...I mean band-aids.

Nobody likes shots, but Jonathan really did handle them well. Here he is sporting some lovely Charlie Brown Band-Aids

Nice to meet you

Jonathan is one smart Cookie when it comes to his Cookies. He was eyeballing this big guy! Didn't know what to think of him at first, as I think the picture shows.

Me and my Cookies

Jonathan had his 4 month shots today. He did a great job, yes he cried but much less than the last time. He is even playing with mommy and cookie monster right now. He got a couple cute Snoopy band-aids to help with the pain!

Now for the weigh in....In this corner, wearing the white huggies, weighing 17 pounds, and standing 25 1/2 inches....JONATHAN DOUGLAS WILLIAMS! It's only a matter of time before he is bigger than all of us!

This was Jonathan on Sunday. He is so cool, the girls are going to be so after him. Hmmm, just like daddy???

Haven't updated much, sorry. Things are going well, Jonathan can now where size 3 diapers! We have a doctors appointment this Monday so I will update his size and weight after, but lets just say BIG for right now.

We got a new car (new to us at least), a 2007 GMC Envoy, a cool SUV that gets us back and forth a lot easier than the Jetta. It was becoming a tight fit for all of us, especially if we went shopping or had anybody else in the car.
