We went to see Mickey Mouse at his House on Sunday afternoon. It wasn't to bad of a crowd to wait to see him. Jonathan always seem to react a little differently each time. Sometimes he is more shy and scared, this time however he wanted to see Mickey, so much that as soon as it was our turn he ran up/snuck up, on Mickey and surprised him by pulling on his pant leg. He was all smiles and kisses and didn't want to look at the camera to take a picture. But of course the most important thing is he got some time with Mickey

Duckies
We went to the park to feed the ducks for the first time. Jonathan had a lot of fun, although a goose kept following us up and down the water. Jonathan could only toss the bread so far, and the ducks wouldn't come to close, so that meant the goose got all the rewards!
It was a good time together as a family, even Chiquita came along, she behaved very well, the goose that was following us gave her some nasty hisses but she didn't seem to care.
We hope to go down to Sea World sometime this summer, Jonathan loves fish as well, it is one of his words "fishies".

way to long
It has been way to long since i put anything on the blog. I just don't seem to make the time anymore, but I will try. Life with an iPhone makes it so easy to take random little photos of jonathan, upload to facebook, make a comment, that i have neglected the blog and even flickr a little.
things are going well, jonathan continues to grow, he is working on starting to form small sentences, joining words together that he knows, and speaking in "jonathanese".
We are happy that summer is coming, a chance to see family, a nice little vacation, it all sounds so nice.

Easter
We had a fun easter, we enjoyed the service at Tustin Ranch, couldn't get up early enough for the sunrise service at Santa Ana. Then we had a lovely chinese food lunch, and then went to the park for fellowship with everyone from Santa Ana. When we got home Jonathan had his first easter egg hunt. It was fun to watch him go around and look for eggs, and crazy how he kept saying "egg".

MICKEY MOUSE! MICKEY MOUSE!
We were lucky enough to walk into Disneyland and be greated by Mickey Mouse walking out of the back area. He waved us over and we were first in line to get a picture! Jonathan was so excited!!!! He didn't want to leave, he didn't cry or anything but Edith had to draw his attention elsewhere so we could get away...yet all down Main Street he kept trying to turn around and go back and see his friend Mickey Mouse! After all the trips to Disney, and a few Disney movies starring mickey, Jonathan now says "mi mouse..mi mouse..." when he see's mickey! :)

pondering
Haven't updated the blog in a long time, it seems to get more and more difficult to do so.
Jonathan is a little sick right now, nothing to bad, still running around and being wild and crazy, just with a snotty nose! He amazes us with how smart he is, the words he can say, or tries to say, and even more so in the way he tries to copy everything his mommy and daddy do. From climbing up onto chairs to drinking out of water bottles, to laying down in the bed and getting under the covers.
Jonathan is progressing in that he doesn't need to be rocked to sleep anymore, but he still wants somebody next to him, holding him, as he fades off to sleep. Progress.
He loves to eat! He is a little picky and is happy to share whatever he doesn't like with Chiquita!

big smiles....minus a couple teeth for daddy
It has been a crazy month, not sure where it has gone. We got back and were sick for awhile, then I had to start playing catch up for work. Too many things coming last minute. Last week we went to Megan's wedding in vegas. Because of issues at the hotel we ended up dring out Saturday morning....and comng back Saturday night. So that was an adventure.
Yesterday I had my two wisdom teeth on my right side pulled out, so I am recovering from that. I am happy to say everything seems to have gone very well.
Jonathan, after being sick the first week of the month, and losing a couple pounds, is now packing it on. He loves fruit, spagehetti, chicken nuggets, and even his veggies, carrots seem to be his favorite. He will still eat some gerber food, but seems much more happy with taking stuff off the plate of mommy and daddy.

Disney World Mosaic 2009
This is a cool mosaic I made out of all the pictures from vacation.
All is well in the house, everybody is feeling better for the most part. Jonathan, since coming back from vacation has started eating a lot more "grown up" foods. ADIOS GERBER!
Things are a little crazy between work, we are doing sound for a big event that isn't an Army event but we are taking part in it and have been asked to cover a couple main stage mics. But the logistics are starting to get a little....well lets just say it isn't going well.
That is early Saturday morning then the family is rushing off to Vegas for my cousin megan...well cousin's kid, wedding. GOOD TIMES GOOD TIMES!!!!

A great vacation....a bad return
Our trip to Disney World was great. We had an awesome room, good weather, good food, lots of fun. The pictures tell a lot of the story of where we went and what we did. I planned on going into more detail now but can't yet......why? Well Jonathan is sick and is taking up a good amount of time and energy.
He got sick Thursday morning, the day we left, it made for a interesting flight back home, him vomiting every couple hours, but he did great and slept most of the way. Edith and I also started getting sick these last couple days. Yesterday we thought he was almost all better, over 24 hours without an "incident", when he woke up from a late afternoon nap covered in throw-up. So we started the process over, building him up on liquids again. Sadly tonight we thought again he was doing fine, until 30 minutes a go, before going to bed, up came the days liquids.
He is sleeping now, and we are heading for the doctor in the morning to see if they can figure out anything else in person that they couldn't over the phone.
Please keep Jonathan and us in our prayers.

Big smiles, new toy
We are off to Disney World in a couple days....so I will not be keeping up to date with the blog this week. BUT will be posting photos taken from my phone onto the flickr site, so to get to it, the easy way just come back to the blog site, click on this cute picture of Jonathan and you will be at the site. It's a Toony Town
Time is flying by, everything is going crazy, all as we prepare to go on vacation. The Jetta broke down, got it to the shop, some dumb chip needs to be replaced, fun stuff.....
I went to the dentist to discover I need a coupel crowns and possibly a root canal, and that I have an insurance that maxes at 1000, so that will cover....oh maybe 1/5 of the cost.
So I am very excited to be getting out of town in just shy of a week now. To be free of work, and day to day stuff and just enjoy a family vacation. For those who don't know we are going to Disney World.
Going to Disneyland yesterday we discovered how slow it was....most rides were less than 20 minutes, we walked right onto Buzz Lightyear. I sure hope the crowds, and weather, are just as good for us next week. Crazy even typing "next week", we have been planing this for a year and now the day is almost here.
I will be uploading some pics to flickr, and will see if I can upload to the blog, but if not, just check the flickr site for a couple iphone photos each day. LOTS of photos to come when we get back!

27 lbs
Jonathan had a healthy checkup this week. He is 27 lbs, his head is...well big. Just making room for all those smarts! He got a couple more shots, handled it really well, he always does. We took his crayons with us, he is still getting the hang of using them, and can't decide if he prefers his left or right hand.
Today marks 2 weeks till our next trip to Disney World! YIPPY

Happy New Year
It is hard to believe that the new year is already here. Time moves so fast with Jonathan, we look back on all these pictures and wonder where the time went and when our little baby boy turned into this handsome little boy.
This is a big year, Jonathan turns 2, I turn 30, and although I have a bit of a Peter Pan attitude towards life I know adulthood is finally upon me.....but with Jonathan and Edith by my side I look forward to every minute of it!
