cutest picture of the month

We obviously have a lot of pictures of Jonathan but only a few stand out as the cutest. This has to be one of them. Edith snapped this picture the other night as Jonathan was wrestling with his My First Pal Cookie Monster.

It has been cold here (by SoCal standards) with rain everyday the last few days. The mountains in OC even got a little snow. So keep Jonathan in your prayers when it comes to health, we are trying to avoid the sniffels.

I had a Diet Dr. Pepper tonight, not a big deal you say, well let me tell you. It was my first soda in 3 weeks, and I don't plan on having another for awhile. Trying to cut back on the soda has been difficult put I have started to get used to it. I'm just trying to get in better shape! Jonathan keeps growing and daddy has to keep fit in order to get him from here to there!

This is Jonathan's superman impersonation. Not bad huh? All is well here. Edith has finished her second week back at work, this week seemed to move faster which is a good thing. Jonathan continues to grow and keeps very active. He has gotten used to being home with Grandma Ortiz this week, napping more and eating better.

Decided that the little picture camera with video capabilities will not do the job any more, have to go out and buy a video camera. Just weird because I use them all the time at work but don't own one! :)

The cookie was this big

So this is the newest cutest picture of Jonathan. Many people thought Jonathan would be spoiled with Disney, and he does have his good share, as you can see from past pictures, but cookie monster is his favorite. He has a little soft plush cookie monster we take out everywhere, it is washer machine friendly, he often falls asleep holding on to it.

When daddy dresses Jonathan

So I finished dressing Jonathan and looked down and saw what I had done. After telling Edith she insisted to take some pics. If you can't tell, this outfit is on backwards. DOH! To see the outfit the correct way check out the flickr site. Thanks to Grandma Williams for this outfit. Yes it said 6 months but guess what? IT FITS.

Bath Time - Funny Faces

Jonathan got a bath from Momma and Grandma today. He has been getting better during bath time. He hasn't cried the last couple times, which makes bath time so much more fun!

Longest Post Ever

No I have not given up on the blog. Following Christmas Edith, Jonathan, and I took off for a week on a secret mission. It started VERY early on the Friday morning following Christmas. Jonathan was not at all happy about being moved around and positioned for the car seat. He hadn't had his morning breakfast yet and was still very happy sleeping.

So then we were off to the airport. We had planned out with my dad a week long visit to Reno. The only thing was nobody but the 3 of us new about it. Mom was flying back in from Colorado Springs on Saturday and we were to meet her at the airport. Of course we did it all in grand style. While dad distracted mom in one of the stores we got right behind them and started having a conversation. "oh isn't that nice", "hmmm I think my dad would like that one". But no response, so finally I just spoke up with.. EXCUSE ME SIR! I startled my mom and as she spun her mouth fell open. No words were coming out just gasps, which turned into a small cry.

The snow had decided to stop after Friday, and we had a sunny, bright, COLD time. We visited a nice buffet in town, saw the sites. We spent some time in Virginia City on New Years Day, fun little old west, one main street, one yellow light kind of town. Got a couple things including some great peanut butter fudge. MMMhhhhh peanut butter. Of course all this wore us out pretty well.

Of course the best thing was that Grandma and Grandpa got plenty of baby time.
